Since we’ve spent a lot of time reviewing Nashville, we decided to take a moment to check out the scene in some of the suburbs in Middle Tennessee. As it turns out, there’s quite a scene of contractors in Franklin TN. In fact, we’ve spent some time with Jeremy, (a roofer in Franklin) who told us all about how things work in this area.
Jeremy told us that there’s been recent snow storms in Franklin, and that it’s created some ice dams on the roofs of several houses in the area, thus creating lots of work for his company. He says that they don’t get this every year, but they’ve been getting lots of calls this year, and last year there were also several calls for these issues.
Franklin, TN is known for it’s beauty and culture. It’s a city of affluent people. Within it’s community lives lawyers, surgeons, doctors, musicians and many more of the rich and famous. So for a roofer like Roofer Franklin, it means a lot when there’s work. In fact, Jeremy says that while the average roofer in Nashville might charge around $7,000 for a new roof, the average home in Franklin will be paying closer to around $13,000. That’s nearly double the price for a new roof in Franklin, TN.
Although the residence of Franklin are wealthy, it isn’t often that they require roofing work. In fact, Jeremy says that the usual call for roofing work in Franklin is for new home developments in town. Most of the homes in the area are well taken care of and don’t require much attention because of the quality work that’s been done from the start. It’s because of this that every call is important for this small town roofing company.
We asked Jeremy if there was any particular type of repair that’s requested more so than other repairs. He told us that, again, there aren’t many calls for repair work, however every once in a while they get calls for roof cleaning and gutter cleaning, or even gutter installation and repair.
Jeremy also told us that they aren’t only located in Franklin. He said they get a lot of calls for roofing in Brentwood and roof repair in Nolensville. Although these are also very affluent neighborhoods, to our surprise he says that his company gets most of the calls from those areas.
Going across town we also took a look at another roofing company called All Seasons Roofing. These guys also get a lot of work in the Franklin area, although they’re apparently located in Hermitage. All Seasons is well known for their commercial roofing, and also their thermal detection for leaks and damage. This isn’t very common in the roofing industry, which makes them a hot commodity for the Franklin area.
In closing, we’d like to thank All Seasons Roofing, Roofer Franklin and also Tim Leaper roofing who have all helped in our research and contribution to this article. If you’re ever considering moving to the Franklin TN area, be sure to call one of these guys to take a look at your roof and make sure that you’re in good shape.
